First Sojourn- Camp Blue Haven in the New Mexico mountains!
The sign that welcomes campers to Blue Haven.
This is the work crew -
eight couples and the Camp caretakers, Gary and Judy, in the lower left corner. They were great hosts and very happy to see us.
Jerry Don and Helen Sanders were Team Leaders
and they threw themselves into it! Blue Haven has
been a special place for them for years. John and
Karen Wells were Co-Leaders and a better "right
hand man (and woman)" you couldn't want. Note
the fire in the fireplace - it's still cold in April here!
Every Sojourn begins every morning with a devotional and we had great participation and a daily reminder of whom we served it our small way.
Next stop - San Antonio and time with Becky.
Becky's big news was her new wheels! Of course, she loved her old Honda CRV so much she just had to "update it"! She couldn't stop grinning as she drove us to a favorite restaurant for supper. Like us and Aaron&Tarin, Becky is also changing her "address" and we helped her do some packing (a little, very little).
The journey begins with family
We only got to spend a day with Aaron, Tarin and the girls - look how much Hallie, Vivian and Marla have grown. It was good to show them our new "home".
Tarin is pretty confident - coffee in one hand, and Jenga piece in her other (left, of course:).
Come on, Vivian, you can do it!!
Aaron and I talk over all the preparations - for both families - our packing complete and their's just starting. Ava says I look beat, and she's right, I was (and so was she). It took more than a few nights to get rested up.
